Hi I'm new on here so unsure of some of the short hand!
Desperate for advice, please.
Split with my ex h in March and have been on good terms since. However yesterday I found out on FB he had taken his two other children from a previous relationship to an important family birthday party and not our child?!
I had no knowledge of the party before and I'm so hurt for my daughter she wasn't included. I haven't spoken to him yet about this.

Is your DD very young? Could it be she would be harder work for him.

Maybe she wouldn't have enjoyed the event and would require him to keep her entertained.

Does your DD have a relationship with her half siblings?

Thanks SandyY2K
She is the youngest, and has a great relationship with her siblings and that side of her family.
I'm sure as you say he thinks she have been harder work and he wanted to drink! I'm just shocked he could single her out.
It's just upsetting the whole of that side of the family was there apart from her. There was a disco and balloons, she would of loved it.
As I say we have a good relationship or did and I would of happily dropped her there for a bit and picked her up again.
I'm worried he's told his family I didnt let her go, which is not the case!

Are you sure she was invited? Do you have contact with the family member who held the party? If you are on good terms, honestly, I wouldn’t rock the boat over this one thing. Your daughter missed a party. Not the end of the world

As long as he has her when he's supposed to, you can't decide what he takes her to do. You've split up now so you decide what she does when you have her and he'll do the same, with no interference.

To be fair, sometimes I like to go to a party and relax with out having my youngest there. My oldest is 15 so doesn't need 'looking after' as such.

Was he meant to have your child that day?
