I am in the wrong to call him a twat...

So my partner worked 9-1 today in a small corner shop, he comes home moaning he's tired blah blah blah, I said to him go for a nap then but he seems to think I said it in a shitty way but I didn't.

He then carry's on arguing with me calling me a dickhead because I yawned while arguing with him, at this point he's shouting at me and telling me I've nothing to be tired about..I've been up since half 5 with my 3 year old (my daughter from a different relationship) who was crying most of the morning and trying to sort out house work, he comes home everyday after work moaning he's tired and had a shit day but then spends all his free time and days off on the bloody computer while I look after DD and our puppy...

I ended up calling him a dickhead because I feel like he just takes me for granted as doesn't really appreciate the stress I go though during the day with DD and the puppy..

Am in the wrong to feel pissed off and hurt?

He sounds like a bellend and you sound like you don't need to be in this relationship as it's all quite childish, but he shouldn't be screaming at you.
Honestly OP, what are you getting from this relationship? It sounds like you're both just not compatible any more and can't see each other's side of things. How long have you been together, and is it worth continuing this relationship if this is how he reacts to a reasonable solution to his problem? Have you spoken to him about this?

Hope you feel better soon. Thanks

Think about what value he adds in your life.

SoapOnARoap · 06/07/2018 07:47

4 hours in a shop & he’s like that?? Imagine what he’d be like in a job with full time job, with pressure & a commute.

He sounds like a tool

11:30 on a Saturday and he's still asleep...while I've done all the housework, feed the kids (we had his son over last night) and the puppy, hung the washing out, ironed and put the clean clothes away 😒😒

He was meant to be cleaning the garden today..but yes again I've done it now

Lalameme · 07/07/2018 12:56

I do everything in the house
Cooking cleaning washing decorating diy gardening shopping clothes buying pay all the bills and work and have 3 children to care for
My husband works too but I do his daughters care also he does 10-15 hour days working

Tbh me and you are both probably doormats and we know it but if our nature is kind it’s hard to change

But I’ve had enough we have no life he works 7 days a week as he chooses to

Your partner treats you like mine treats me as we allow it

The only ones who can change this is us but it’s so hard to start again
Finances home together a family

Why are you still with him? What is in this situation for you? It must be pretty upsetting for your DD too.

He sounds vile.

0ccamsRazor · 07/07/2018 14:42

You can do better than this pile of shit masquerading as a human.

Don't put up with his abuse Op.

No he’s a twat.

My ex is being a twat too as are his family members. They are all twats. I feel a bit better for saying that ... twat is a word I have never used before, one I considered taboo but today it sums them up.

I hope your day is getting better and that he has apologised.

anotherangel2 · 07/07/2018 15:04

Is this what you want to teach your daughter about relationships should look? I would not want my child to think it is OK for a man to treat her that way.
