Bloody football

My husband wants to go and watch the football on Thursday after work with his mates.......Thursday happens to be my birthday. He's at work all day any way and the kids are at school so we don't have any plans. Saturday we are going for dinner and drinks while my parents babysit. I don't have an issue with him going to watch the football even though it's my birthday. My friends say he's taking the piss...... any thoughts? Should he have even asked to go on my birthday? Would you be bothered?

@lovesugarfreejelly63 thank you I could think of anything better to do than a film and a bottle or three with the girls while DH enjoys the football. Win win

Don't let friends influence you if you don't have an issue with it. They are not in your marriage.
