Ex sent a letter

Please advise me

I was with my ex for 4 years
He had anger management and we split quite a few times
We couldn't last a month without arguing

He promised he would go to counselling but never stuck to it
He was ' always better ' after 2 sessions

He's in debt, he used to keep secrets about money and as a result I helped him out so he owes me about 2k which I need back
He's been paying the minimum payments

Anyway 3 months later, it's been rocky - contact on and off as I miss him as I feel broken but have had to block him the last few weeks as I can't keep getting hurt by him

Today he has sent a letter
He's never written to me
He's sorry, he misses me, saying how I'm a lovely person and mum and he made a mistake
He has put a prepaid card inside where he told me I can draw out money for food ( he's knows I'm struggling financially)
And has upped his minimum payment to my cards which he has stated too

It's a lengthy letter but no questions just statements

It's made me sad but my guy feeling is that I've come this far, trying to re build my life and now he sends me a letter I'm supposed to what get back in contact ?

Help

Just manipulate him back. Spend all the money on the prepaid card (deduct it from his debt). Ask him to pay more on the cc debt - minimum payments on a credit card is going to sting you badly once he stops paying - which he will when he meets someone else. String him along to get the cash back then tell him you've met someone new.

Sorry @Rockstarchick, but I'd guess he's bored and fancies a shag. He's seeing the money as a way in, no pun intended, but yeah. He pays 40 quid and the cost of a take away, gets his end away somewhere nice, and can come backwards and forwards whenever he fancies some, because he's got you on the hook.

Tell him to fuck right off.

Just leave me alone and pay back what you owe
You wrote this yourself & it is the only reply you need. Just keep repeating it until his debt is paid off.

He’s doing the minimum someone should do when they owe you money, ie, pay you back. That doesn’t mean you owe him your time, attention, or a relationship.

His contact is leaving you anxious and stressed, it’s not good for you. Tell him that if he keeps contacting you, you’ll go to the police.

I agree with you all but the thing is I really cannot afford to pay the minimum on these cards and I can't move on until he does
My friend said to just write them off id love to but I'm really struggling financially
I do feel stressed and anxious and that's how he made me feel when I was with him
I don't want to go back to that
If I get the police he will 100% not pay
He even said yesterday he was being nice and didn't have to pay me ?! I said you do because you owe me money and it's the right thing to do! He doesn't see that because of the extra £40 a week
I went to set the card up onto my credit card and it didn't accept it so the only way is taking out the cash which I hate doing
