no never.
I always allow for 6 - 8 hours either side.

Lizzzombie · 22/05/2007 17:20

sometimes yes, sometimes no.
depends what he has got to be home in time for!

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:20

Yes, always.

CarGirl · 22/05/2007 17:21

do you mean straight from work on when he's out? Have to say mine is really great, if he's late it's usually half an hour at most although as he cycles even that is enough to get me worried!

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:21

yes, cause other wise I am asleep & then he has no chance

bobsmum · 22/05/2007 17:22

That was the wrong thing to say on this thread wasn't it?

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:23

From work - don't mind when he is out with the boys, but really pisses me off when I cook for a time which he has agreed, and he doesn't come home!!!!

OP posts:
clutteredup · 22/05/2007 17:24

he says when he's coming home? mine said once that he didn't want to be the knid of husband who had to tell their wife what time they were coming home!!!!!!!! PMSL - and he expects dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CarGirl · 22/05/2007 17:25

Yep being late for tea completely not on - dh learnt this very quickly, it's hard making dinner with 4 children milling around even harder when he was expected to be around for the last 10 minutes to help.

GEt him sorted out - don't know how, think I gave the cold shoulder I few times and then we talked about it, and now if he ends up running late phones and lets me know

bobsmum · 22/05/2007 17:25

Your dinner's in the dog

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:26

I would rather he said 'I am not sure when I am going to be home', rather than tell me, and then not turn up!!!

SugaryBits · 22/05/2007 17:28

Yes always. If you take into account the fact that 20mins in his world =1 hour in real time.

clumsymum · 22/05/2007 17:29

Yes always.

But then he's not really a "out drinking with the lads" type of chap anyway, not blokey at all.

Occasionally he meets up with 2 former work colleagues for a drink. Invariably he's home by 11:30 ish.

I was gobsmacked by the poster on here who said her dh went out until 4 or 6 in the morning. Apart from the question of what he is actually doing until that time, How much is he spending? I know I wouldn't put up with that.

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:32

...and the other thing is he doesn't answer his bloody mobile, so I can't bloody get hold of him grrrrr!!

OP posts:
LadyOfTheFlowers · 22/05/2007 17:34

i expect him to and he does stick to times when he is not drunk.
But if he out on the beer i dont take much notice of his
'I'll be in by . Babe'

Jazzicatz · 22/05/2007 17:36

I am sure he only does it as a controlling thing. He knows it really annoys me, because I am always punctual.

I should microchip when he is asleep, so I can track him!!!

prettymum · 22/05/2007 17:41

i never rely on dp to be on time! if he tells me he'll be home soon, it means another couple of hours, if its 20 minutes it means another hour!! hes been like this from day one and the only reason it gets up my nerves is because i like to be punctual for everything!
