Proof he is cheating.... do I tell?

Speaking to a friend today that has a mutual friend with my sister. Friend told me that she has found my sisters husband on a dating app and that he is well know for cheating on her with both women and men in the mutual friends circle. I have screen shots of messages that prove he has cheated with his profile and picture. Do I tell my sister or do I stay out of it...? If it was me I would of course want to know but I'm not sure if she would.

I would tell her

Screen shot the proof

loveyoutothemoon · 29/04/2018 19:02

Definitely tell her, you can't not.

peanutbutterbanana1 · 29/04/2018 19:03

I’d definitely tell her

Teacuphiccup · 29/04/2018 19:04

Yes you have to tell her

Wadingthroughshit · 29/04/2018 19:08

Absolutely tell her, there would be no question in my mind. There’s another post floating around about a posters friend who had an affair and whether she (her friend, the OW) should talk to and tell his wife. Of course. It reminds me of the ‘Stiff upper lip’ shitty mantra...tell your sister, she absolutely needs to know, if for her health if nothing else.

Teacuphiccup · 29/04/2018 19:10

Exactly. What if he’s given her an std and she doesn’t get it seen to because she doesn’t know.

SleepFreeZone · 29/04/2018 19:18

I’m sorry but if he’s cheating with both men and women her sexual health is at risk so bloody hell, tell her!!!!

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 29/04/2018 19:19

Please tell her. Imagine if it comes out later and she finds out you knew....

Dadaist · 29/04/2018 19:19

Of course you tell her! But be gentle and try to pick a good time not a bad time. It will be awful so be prepared to offer support.

proofisinthepudding · 29/04/2018 19:22

I thought that would be most people's thinking but so often I see people saying if it's not your business stay out of it. I am obviously concerned about her health as much as anything. I'm just not sure if she will want to know Sad

She doesn’t want her husband to cheat, but she’d probably want to know if he was.
It’s going on within the friend group, if you don’t tell her, someone else will, it will come out, and like someone else said, how would she feel when she finds out you knew. Your mutual friends told you, and even showed you proof. There’s no question of how having to tell her.
Tell her as soon as possible.

SandyY2K · 29/04/2018 19:36

If my sister knew my DH was cheating and didn't tell me... our relationship wouldn't be the same again.

HennaTattoo · 29/04/2018 22:14

Same dilemma with my friend OP. I've a post on here it's provoked a lot of reaction. Tell or not to tell...so hard. Think I'd want to know

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 29/04/2018 22:23

I think I'd have to say something, because she's your sister. Awful, awful situation to be in, and she won't thank you for it, but you can't stay silent, knowing that he's 'well known' for shagging around. Your sister may already know, but at least this way you can't be accused of lying to her.

I really don't envy you at all - this is a horrendous position to be put in.

proofisinthepudding · 29/04/2018 22:34

Urgh it's making feel sick. I know I have to tell her.... what do I even say!!

Sorry you're going through this too henna- I'll have a look for your thread.

I think people usually say not your business ect. When it's the ow or someone with an agenda wanting to say. It's your sister, your loyalties lie with her. I'd tell. Good luck, such an awful thing to have to do Flowers

Mrstobe90 · 30/04/2018 00:38

Yes, you should definitely tell her. She has every right to know if she is being betrayed by her husband.

Cazz10 · 30/04/2018 00:45

Definitely tell she will thank u in the long run..
