ReginaPhalange2 · 08/04/2018 19:31

My dh has asked to separate tonight

I feel broken that nothing seems like it can be fixed anymore.

Not sure if anyone saw my earlier threads.

Not sure I want from this either

Gutted and not sure how I’m going to cope

I'm sorry to hear this Flowers

Where are you now? Are you able to have a cup of tea. How is your body feeling?

Can you ring a friend to sit with you tonight?

It's normal to feel like you've been broken in half. Its such cold comfort, but please know that you will recover from this in time. How you feel now is probably the worst bit. I've been there. I'm sorry x

Can you say what happened, briefly, that led to what happened tonight?

Totallyfkdoff · 08/04/2018 20:25

Right with you OP 5 days in for me. I'm fine one minute strong independent. Next am in tears and feeling overwhelming loss. Here's a hand hold.

ReginaPhalange2 · 08/04/2018 20:27

He blames me for everything
He has massive pressures at work and I cause a lot of them apparently.
He also took the kids today and had a fantastic day because I ruin everything it was better without me.

Urgh

Thanks ladies it means a lot I’m not feeling strong at all. I’m doubting myself massively

I haven't seen your other threads but Don't blame yourself. It's easier for him to blame you because then he doesn't need to accept his own guilt/fault.
Be kind to yourself - while you get over the shock, then get angry.

I've just read your other threads.

Love, you are better off.

When is the earliest you can get legal advice? He is not your friend. He's going to fuck you over. You need a solicitor.

ReginaPhalange2 · 08/04/2018 20:59

I know I have thought about this prize thanks, he’s playing the good
Guy card at the minute as in he will let me stay here and he will pay for everything.

Do you know if you can get a solicitor to draw up a separation agreement almost before divorce?

This is all such a fucking mess, you couldn’t make it up.
I think with the money side of things he might not be funny because his family depend on him for some things and he wouldn’t want me to interfere with that.

It's normal to get some kind of separation agreement in place in the early stages. I'm not in UK so can't give specific advice.

It's imperative you talk to a solicitor so they can take you through the steps/things to decide on.

I can't urge you enough on this. As he's self employed you need to expect that hardball will be required. His good will will run out. It always does.

Hi there. I'm sorry to hear you are going through a tough time. I'm four weeks into separation myself so I know what it's like. Keep telling yourself that you are a good person. Take care of yourself.

AngelSnowflake · 08/04/2018 22:54

Hi OP,

I am 3 weeks in. I don’t know how I am managing. I can be calm and accepting one minute and then crying and angry the next.

I have no advice but will be thinking of you

ReginaPhalange2 · 09/04/2018 11:27

Thank you x
