Long story short I was fed up with being in the firing line for his bad moods, and told him so. He said he wasn't sure if he wanted to be with me or not and had a decision to make.

In the end it took the decision out of his hands and told him it was humiliating waiting around to see if he wanted to be with me when I knew i definitely wanted to be with him.

Feel a bit heartbroken, although it's only been 4-5 months, and that I have cut off my nose to spite my face.

Have I done the right thing? And if so can I have a handhold? I don't feel very strong at the moment.

You have done the right thing. You have to close the door to a relationship with a partner that made you feel insecure, and that did not make you feel valued, so that you can open the door to a new happier relationship. Xo

Orchid I guess I need to realise it IS ok to be upset by this. It might have only been 5 months but as you and username7979 said I put my heart in to it (something I am usually reluctant to do - but I believed in us) and this is how I have been repaid.

midsummabreak I hope the next one is a happy one, and I have time to heal again before then.

On the plus side it's my Birthday today. I took myself out for coffee ad cake as I am alone most of the day and randomly bumped into a friend I hadn't seen in nearly a year! Him and his friend were gutted I had to spend the day alone so came and had lunch with me. It was so nice. I feel just a little bit less lonely Smile
