Does anyone elses mother think they "rush around too much". As in, taking their children swimming, to the park, to visit friends .... etc.
She seemes to think we should all stay at home and do nothing every day. It drives me nuts.
I've just been talking on the 'phone to her and mentioned I was going to Drusillas Zoo tomorrow with my girls and our "baby group" - about 20 of us which should be a fab day. Instead of saying "how lovely, have a great time", she gives a hugh sigh and says "you're always dashing about, why don't you stay at home and put your feet up". As, bloody, if, with two three year olds. They're easier when we're out!!!

We do have mornings/afternoons in when we paint and play in the garden but it's just so much nicer to be out if the opportunity arises - should I feel guilty about this!

No. But then my mum wasn't/isn't in to satying at home.

my mum's usually complaining when im just sat at home. but i think mums always have to moan at something especially silly little things that dont really matter. so if you're sat at home, they'll moan that you should be out. but when you're out, they'll moan that you should be in. just make the most of the beautiful weather we're having. never know when we're going to start having thunder and lighting again!!

Don't feel guilty about getting out and about. Surely that's what the holidays are for? My mother is actually convinced that I spend my days drinking coffee, watching daytime TV and generally sitting on my backside. Not really likely with an autistic 4 year-old and an 18-month old toddler.

Just do whatever feels best for you and your girls.
