What kind of man says this? Would it concern you if you were considering entering a relationship with him?
He is 42...

Actually my last 2 sentences contradict each other - evidently I wouldn't be happy with a few weeks of glorious shafting for it to then go nowhere!

I'm a woman btw

I guess I just don't want to be another project to be got bored of and cast aside

Why would you be? Both myself and my dh have personalities which means we need variety in our work but are 24 years living together and still besotted Grin

Oh and we still wear the the same sorts of clothes and same hair as when we got together! Needing different works situations doesn’t mean all aspects of our lives have to be like this. In many respects, I don’t like change.

Happy to hear it does not generally spill over into relationships, I certainly couldn't be arsed with trying to keep things exciting all the time so he doesn't get bored.
I do know that he has many long standing friendships and good family relationships.
No dc though and I have 2.

In the work context I think it's fine (unless it's an excuse for quitting jobs when he can't be arsed anymore but that doesn't seem to be the case).

People who say they get bored in a work context can be very driven. Wouldn't read too much into.

See how it goes. His actions and behaviour will tell you more than little quips and soundbites like these that can be taken out of context. Can't see much wrong with what he has said.

Good luck with the, erm, shafting. ShockGrin
