after 3 dates and lots of messaging? Or is it lust I'm experiencing? I can't think straight and find myself thinking about him for a huge chunk of the day. I feel like a teenager again.

Of course it is, but how much of that is based on reality and how much is down to how you feel fulfilling a need in you rather than actually bring in love with him?

Of course it is. I felt like that after 1 date. DH still here 20 years later Smile

Infatuation / crush / NRE(new relationship energy) / potentially limerence.

It could turn into something, or it might not. Just enjoy the feelings but keep one foot on the ground.

Ahh that's how me and my dp were at the beginning - acted like a couple of teenagers for weeks. Then things calmed down and realised we had properly fallen for each other, now got a very healthy strong relationship. Just enjoy it don't read too much into it you will know where it's going soon enough.

I think there is a possibility that I want to fulfil the need of having someone but also there is a connection there and we have so much in common. I'm trying to not get carried away but it's difficult!

It's possible and I'm going through the same 6 weeks in now. Trying to enjoy it but it does make me nervous!

One bit of caution is if you are enjoying how he is making you feel, its intoxicating when someone seems to adore us but it can make us blind to behaviours or we tend to overlook their past.

We can often fall for soneone's personality and attractiveness but assume we know their character...however character/values takes a while to determine and usually only when tested.

I am not sure you can really know someone after a short so its a risk. They could be a good person or they could be manipulative..genuinely think its hard to determine early on.

Be aware of lovebombing as a thing.

It is most probably lust, because you don't really know him that well yet.

It could certainly turn out that you love each other but equally you could find out he votes UKIP/voted Brexit/has a cupboard full of Coldplay CDs/thinks you cook mince by boiling it and go right off him!
