So been with dp for 10 yrs&we have a 9 yr old dd.
Something happened with dd this morning that hasn't before& I started to panic a bit because I couldn't find her( I don't want to out myself too much)She was missing for about 20 mins or so.
Eventually I found her gave her the biggest hug& told her to not ever do that again!
So I told dp when he came home from work& got no reaction at all!just a sort of an oh well kind of thing.
I duno what I was expecting but certainly more than that!

You’re expecting more because it had an impact on you but by the time he came into it she was found safe and well. I think he would have been ott if he had reacted more myself.

No reaction seems normal to me. Shes safe now and hes not going to needlessly put himself through a hypothetical scenario where she wasnt. Im sure he would have been just the same if he was the one with her when she went missing.

I wouldn't have reacted either. She's 9 not 2. Did you want him to panic? It's done, she's safe.
