I am new on this site. Unsure if it's the correct place to ask for advice but needed some unbiased opinion.
I have been very fortunate in that I was raised in a happy family by 2
loving parents. My mum died some time ago and my father met another lady ( both remarkably fit for their age)
I was happy to see dad happy. I have made every effort to
Be friendly and kind to the lady but she is rude, unwelcoming and makes unnecessary remarks
I am ashamed to say I shouted at her this weekend and have been told off by my dad. I have apologised for the outburst but
Don't know how to behave from now
Dad is old but very healthy as is the lady
Feel as if I should just leave them to it in future
Any thoughts ?

I would not be alone with her and try and see your Dad when she's not around.

She may be trying to drive a wedge between you and your dad to push you out.

Do you have any siblings?

I hope your dad has made a will.

You haven't given much detail here. How much do you expect to see of your Dad? Do you visit unannounced, or do you host them? Every weekend may be too much for some people, particularly if they are in a new relationship. Older, fit people often have a lot of hobbies and an active social life.
I would pick up on the unnecessary remarks and ask what she is trying to say, in as non-confrontational a way as I could manage. However, your relationship is with your Dad and to some extent you should leave him to it.

Thank you for your comments.
I ask very little of my dad and recognise the importance of a busy active lifestyle for fit older people.
I only see him when it suits him and as you say it's best if I just see him alone .
At this moment I feel as if I should just stay away but hopefully time is a good healer and my hurt will subside
