after a DV relationship in 2015 i have found myself ready to try again with the opposite sex.
a guy who i was speaking to has just randomly blocked me

we spoke on facebook and he was really nice, last messages were lovely saying can’t wait to arrange a date to meet up (i know this guy isn’t a catfish) but now ive been blocked after him not being online for 4 days, i don’t know what i have done wrong

ive only ever had one boyfriend before and I’m struggling to understand this. I liked to chat to this guy and I’m wondering where I’ve gone wrong

You’ve done nothing wrong, what’s for you won’t go by you. Let it go & move forward. Life’s to short to spend it anylising the actions of others. Sending love and positive vibes! Xx

MinorRSole · 05/01/2018 02:28

You haven't done anything wrong. He's had a better easier offer and he's taken the cowards way out. A lot of these men seem to find their way on to online dating but they aren't all like that
I have a friend who does this dating online thing and she would say you've been ghosted - apparently it's very common. Extremely rude if you ask me Hmm

HirplesWithHaggis · 05/01/2018 02:29

If you did anything wrong, it would have been decent of him to let you know, so you could make amends. He didn't, so he's not decent, and you're better without him.

Unless you confessed to eating babies or something.

He's behaving in a flakey manner. He might come back, and try to lure you back in with stories. Don't listen. Block him.

Cats at least will tell you when you've done something wrong. They won't tell you what exactly, but they'll usually accept apologies in the form of Dreamies. Grin

Sorry this happened to you, it seems quite usual these days. [old gimmer]

vickymar · 05/01/2018 02:59

my cat does that, she’ll be so moody with me then the dreamies are out and im her favourite person, she’s so transparent

OP posts:
HirplesWithHaggis · 05/01/2018 03:05

Only one of my three (all boys!) tries the "distant and aloof" thing, but even he responds to Dreamies. My grandson's sister is cat-daft, and came to visit when the younger two were kittens. She's four and a bit squealy (in a nice, exited way) so they all vanished under the furniture, until I broke out the Packet of Dreams... Grin

Give your girl a cuddle (with bribes if necessary) and try again. There are loads of decent blokes out there, one will be right for you.

vickymar · 05/01/2018 03:07

Thank you hirples ❤️
I don’t know what it is about dreamies that they love so much, I’ve often been tempted to eat one myself and see if they have the effect on me

You did nothing wrong. He just decided to go in 'a different direction'. The fact you have found out now rather than further down the line is good.

Get out, have fun, pursue clubs and hobbies you enjoy and meet some people in real life, if you can. It is easy for men to hide behind a computer screen spouting all kinds of crap (women can do it too) and so maybe some time meeting 'real' people doing things will enable you to see people's good points etc.

After your domestic abuse relationship did you get any help. Did you do the 'Freedom course' or whatever from Women's Aid?

Go off and meet someone lovely who is worthy of you. Thanks

bayseyan · 05/01/2018 03:30

He wasn't interested.

Time to move on. Not worth wasting energy on someone who wasn't interested.

Reddlion · 05/01/2018 04:06

Likely he is in an on off relationship and they got back together
If he messages you again in a few weeks or months time just block him don't even entertain him

Angelf1sh · 05/01/2018 06:05

You did nothing, he just didn’t want to talk anymore so ghosted you. It’ll happen again, don’t worry about it. It’s frustrating at times but it’s not a big deal and it’s not about you.

vickymar · 06/01/2018 04:08

thank you, I just feel like i’ll Never meet anyone

I don’t find people attractive and I struggle to get feelings
