Do I tell new guy I saw him on dating website?

I've been dating a guy for three months - I initially thought things were going well, however I have recently sensed him pulling back.

Today I logged onto tinder out of curiosity and have seen that not only has he logged in but also has been updating his profile.

Obviously it's going nowhere now.

I want to message him to tell him he's made a spelling mistake... should I?

Do you think I should do it over message though? I'm not seeing him until next week...

Don’t tell him about the spelling mistake, let girls see he is a thick prick.

Block him on whatever apps you usually use to communicate then move on.

LexieLulu · 14/12/2017 16:53

What have you planned next week? Is it something that you could mention to him face to face his tinder?

I'd probably just message him tho, especially after a glass of wine :)

leftmyheartintokyo · 14/12/2017 16:59

It's my office party tonight and I don't want to let it all out when I'm drunk... this has been building a while.

Not sure if better to say it now when I'm sober.

You won’t appear foolish if you message when sober. If you text when drunk, you may end up looking like an idiot. Especially if you send rambling messages. He may even feel like he dodged a bullet!

HeckyPeck · 14/12/2017 17:52

My friend found out her bf was cheating. She never told him she found out, instead she said she didn't find him physically attractive anymore.

Served him right as he was always twatting on about how every woman fancied him.

Petty revenge sometimes makes you feel better. Smile

SnowGlitter · 14/12/2017 19:12

Actually, I'd tell him about the spelling mistake and then see what he comes back with.

Although, I'd also assume it was over. I wouldn't want someone who thought so little of me that they were still keeping their options open.

I do find MN a funny place.

On one had we have threads saying that if a man is interested, you will know about it. And this is the point of the relationship when he should be on his best behaviour and showing you how important you are to him. And that the early days is when the bonding and the falling in love and the heady days of lying in bed and endless sex happen.

And then others that say it's all casual until the exclusivity talk about 6 months in.

So which is it?

Pinkpillows · 14/12/2017 19:49

Throughout all the men I've dated never once had this exclusive chat, didn't realise it had to be done

Thought it was dating and getting to know each other not seeing others if it didn't work out walk away

Huskylover1 · 14/12/2017 21:08

I think the exclusivity chat is great. My DH raised the subject with me, just 3 or 4 dates in. I thought he was great, so agreed. We both came off dating apps and we both knew exactly where we stood.

Op, in your shoes, I think I'd tell him that I wasn't seeing anyone else, and ask him if he was on the same page. See what he says. Then monitor what happens with his Tinder account.

sexymamma17 · 14/12/2017 21:24

Hmm I'd call him out on it. It's not fair on you to be led on by him!

If my fiancé was still on the dating website we met on then I'd mention it and then finish the relationship!

Don't let him walk over you by letting you think your in a relationship when clearly he's keeping his options open and is probably talking to other women!

Don't message him while your at your party as you would of had one too many and possibly saying the wrong thing by wording it wrong, you want a clear mind when texting him so you can get your say out properly.

Good luck Smile

AdalindSchade · 14/12/2017 21:27

If I'm dating someone I don't delete tinder I just don't go on it. I wouldn't deactivate tinder for a 3 month thing. So logging in to tinder would take nothing more than the touch of a button. Surprised he didn't unmatch you though, that's what players do IME

FreeNiki · 14/12/2017 21:35

Message him on tinder. Wait long enough to know he got.it and then block.

leftmyheartintokyo · 17/12/2017 22:19

He has just updated it again using one of MY jokes!!

So I've ended it. That's the final straw Grin

Plentyoffishnets · 18/12/2017 04:21

I know this is not the point of the thread but how do you know when someone else has logged on to tinder? I've never been able to see this only if we're matched so can send messages or not?
An interested as I am on tinder and in early stages of seeing someone too

laudanum · 18/12/2017 04:33

I want to message him to tell him he's made a spelling mistake... should I?

YESSSSSSS.

leftmyheartintokyo · 18/12/2017 06:14

I know in this case because he's changed his entire profile!

I understand someone just logging in and having a swipe because they're bored but to me, changing his profile shows intent that he's still looking for girls. If he feels this way after 3 months I think that's a sign.

OP posts:
PrincessPlod · 18/12/2017 06:53

Personally I wouldn't have contacted him and when he contacted me mention the spelling mistake and using your joke on his profile.

CryptoFascist · 18/12/2017 07:07

Lucky escape you’ve had there!

forumdonkey · 18/12/2017 07:15

You'd never be able to fully trust him again. When I found my exbf on a dating site I created an account, uploaded a photo and messaged him to call him Out.

leftmyheartintokyo · 18/12/2017 07:53

He's also updated the profile to say he's looking for a girl with Daddy issues!

(He's 40, I'm 30, last girlfriend was 19 apparently). Ew.

Ewwwww. He sounds sleazy as fuck 🤢. You've had a lucky escape.

Pinkitis · 18/12/2017 08:11

Daddy issues? Ugh What a weirdo.

LesLavandes · 18/12/2017 08:20

Yep. I agree you had a very lucky escape. Daddy issues. What are they???? 😂
