Hi, very long time lurker and this wonderful board helped me decide to leave my STBXH two and a half years ago so I am hoping that you lovely mumsnetters might be able to help me with a recommendation for a barrister in the London area to represent me in court.

A bit of background...

We have had mediation (May-July this year) and I thought we were getting close to a resolution on the financial order to submit to court - we have this in draft. However he is still delaying and a recent issue makes me think I might just go to court as although this will take months at least he will have to (or be more likely to) respond to court requests and hearing dates etc.

The current split of assets and pensions in the draft financial order is approx 33%/67% in his favour. This is because the main assets of the marriage are properties inherited by him and I am content with this. So, perhaps a barrister who helped you when there were some inherited assets would be good?

We have two daughters and share care for them 50/50 so no maintenance or anything like that.

It would be fantastic to get any recommendations as there are so many barristers in London and I have no idea who to contact. Also, would anyone mind telling me about their experience of going to court with a barrister for a financial order hearing? Thank you!
