Marti Pellow. Still gives me the fanny gallops.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 04/11/2017 22:24

Real: my friend's brother, who was called Antonio and had amazing pale blue eyes. He was gorgeous and a week younger than me. He told me, aged 14, he couldn't go out with an older woman Grin

80sMum · 04/11/2017 22:34

Gene Pitney.

iklboo · 04/11/2017 22:37

A boy called Billy who lived on our street. I must have been about 4. He had gorgeous red hair. I'm still a sucker for redheads even though DH is blond.

iklboo · 04/11/2017 22:38

Celeb crush Paul Newman. I never grew out of that one.

whippetwoman · 04/11/2017 22:40

Mark AND Jason from Battle of the Planets cartoon.

Sgtmajormummy · 04/11/2017 23:05

I have two older brothers, so plenty of early crushes from among their friends in real life.
My first celebrity crush at about 6 was John Boy from The High Chaparral.
But the one I never got over is Jeremy Irons from the time of Brideshead Revisited on. Blush

11yo DD had her first celebrity crush recently on Jim Howick, the Shouty Man from Horrible Histories. I think she chose well and if her ideal man has smiley eyes, a GSOH and a great singing voice, she won't go far wrong!

AtSea1979 · 04/11/2017 23:08

My swimming instructor when I was about 10.

Jason Donovan.

Come to think of it, my 9 yo DD is only interested in dolls and MLP etc. Maybe they aren't growing up as fast as we think in comparison.

iklboo · 04/11/2017 23:08

Oooh whippet - Jason was hawt! (For a cartoon bloke).

mrwalkensir · 04/11/2017 23:13

can't believe that nobody else has mentioned Noggin the Nog...

Melony6 · 05/11/2017 08:30

Haha, yes those sideways looking eyes and waving arms were quite something.

MadisonAvenue · 05/11/2017 12:12

I didn't actually write about my first real life crush when I posted earlier in the thread, and I'm not naming him because he had an unusual name for the 80s.

He was in my year at school, was a good friend and we used to go shopping together, he'd compliment my hair and clothes and I really really thought he fancied me too. I used to hang around the music room at break to be with him and even did an after school O level, an extra subject, because he was doing that.

The penny dropped a few years later. He was gay. Still very much in touch now and I think/hope he knows nothing of my crush.

FluffyMcCloud · 05/11/2017 12:15

Keanu Reeves - I had a point break poster on my wall and looking at him gave me butterflies in my tummy. I used to cry because we would never meet and never be together Blush

DenzilEmily · 07/11/2017 19:15

Randy Orton

NettleTea · 20/12/2017 21:41

Donny Osmond Blush

then replaced by DP who I thought LOOKED like Adam Ant (we went out briefly 3 years later, the re-got together 15 years ago)

Carouselfish · 20/12/2017 22:05

Sickof Oh YES! Mandy Patinkin! He's sexy now too in Homeland (I think).

Mine aside from that was Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park. Think I had my first sweaty palms from that shirt open lying on the table scene.

Real life, Leon Bateman. Year above me at high school with shiny, black hair. Met me a few years ago by chance and didn't recognise him as bald. Meh.

helhathnofury · 21/12/2017 02:36

Davy Jones of the Monkees, used to watch it during the school summer holidays. Probably explains my penchant for the shorter man!

TossDaily · 21/12/2017 02:54

Dave Bartram from Showaddywaddy. I was about 4.

SnowGlitter · 21/12/2017 09:53

Eric from Dungeons and Dragons
Jason from Battle of the Planets

RubyLux · 21/12/2017 10:50

The evil queen in Snow White.

Real life was Mrs Walker, my ballet teacher when I was 4. Dear little me.
