Local register office then off to a lovely place for a long and indulgent lunch. Or a register office in any of your favourite cities or places - perhaps all travelling together and staying in a nice hotel.

Or you could go for something entirely different, like getting married on the London Eye, at

How much do you want to spend? You can spend as little as £120 on a statutory ceremony (£70 to give notice plus £50 for the ceremony) up to...well many, many tens of thousands of pounds to indulge your every whim.

It really depends
I got married in 1995
And spent around £10K.
That included dress, bridesmaid dresses, honeymoon, food, buffet, free bar for the 1st 2 hours in the evening.
Everything.
If I were to do it again it would be a small affair or on a beach somewhere lovely and cost a lot less.

Good afternoon. Thank you for your replies.
We originally wanted to go somewhere and just get married us two - but my Dad has now made it clear that if I got married without him being there he wouldn’t like it.
Feel a bit torn TBH.

A registry office in out favourite city or place sounds like a good idea !
