I just needed to say it. I don't want to leave him, he is a good guy, we have 2 DCs and I don't want to split up our family it works. But l some times day dream of a future with out him. There is nobody else, sometimes, like tonight I feel so lonely. I don't know what I am asking. Maybe does anyone else feel the same

Can you say your family works? It doesn't sound like it works for you?

Don't you deserve to be happy? Doesn't your husband deserve a partner who loves him?

SerfTerf · 10/09/2017 03:00

I'm sure lots of people have felt that way.

If he's a good guy maybe it would be kinder to him, as well as to yourself, to work out an exit plan. Doesn't he deserve someone who loves him? Don't you deserve better too?

Families can still work after separation.

Well, you do like him which is a start and it does seem as though you respect him.
In the beginning did you feel a spark of something?
Perhaps instead of dwelling on 'not being in love' you could work on your marriage. You are not single and you have two children who are depending upon you for everything.
Marriages go through ruts. Mine has gone through periods when I thought 'I don't even like you much' back to feelings of frisson and warmth. Children and their demands take their toll on us emotionally and physically and having young children is one of the hardest periods in a marriage.
Just go and check with your GP as well that you are not depressed before you do something drastic.
I have been married for a long time and I am so glad I didn't up sticks. Being married can also be boring and mundane. I think it's natural to look back and think about the excitement of what a new relationship felt like. It was so good...wasn't it?
So plan something different to do together that is fun, and if and when you have exhausted every possibility perhaps you could go to marriage guidance.
However, having a good shake up maybe, doesn't always lead to happiness. Xxx Best of luck.
