DH such an annoying lightweight drunk

FWIW he rarely drinks but I find him so unlike himself when he does. When I drink I keep it together and am still myself (as far as I know). But DH just morphs into a loud, blabbering teenager, so it seems.
He's just stumbled in the door and proceeds to tell me about his night AT FULL VOLUME constantly repeating himself and wobbling all over the bedroom.
I know I should probably lighten up - he's not aggressive, offensive or argumentative but just SO unlike himself.
I had a little giggle with him about being tipsy but then when I asked him to just lower his voice as he's shouting he gets all stroppy and stumbles out the door and downstairs. Now clanking dishes about downstairs.
I don't really know why I've posted but just want to rant - he is the total opposite sober and it's really unattractive when he's like this. Drinking just really doesn't suit him.

That sounds cute. I'd love that. Silly and a bit loud is a nice way to be when drunk. Give him plenty of water.

Thanks Red - I think I'm being a bit intolerant as I'm 8 months pregnant and he woke me up stumbling in! 😂 not at all jealous

Haha, silly man. Alcohol certainly does effect some people VERY strongly. It's good he doesn't do this very often!

aqua - indeed! He's woken up today feeling pretty fuzzy and anxious, I actually feel sorry for him! I'm always astounded at what a lightweight he is, as he doesn't drink much and is 6'5! Haha.

It's weird, I was going to start a similar thread...

My dp and I do drink regularly (couple of times a week) but not to get drunk. Just a few glasses of wine, but my point is, we're both used to it.

When we go out out Wink I have to say, I dread the 'turning point' with dp. One minute she's really happy and tipsy, the next, it's classic, stumbling, eyes rolling, slurring words, loud kind of drunk and I hate it. Find it really unattractive Confused I feel horrible for saying that, but it's how I genuinely feel.

Istole - oh dear she sounds the same as DH! I think if I got in those states I just wouldn't bother drinking at all. It makes me anxious when I'm not out with him too, he becomes quite vulnerable.
He's going to a wedding in a few weeks when I'm 39 weeks pregnant (I'm staying at home), and have had to just ask him to not drink at all incase I need him to rush home for something!
