Does this indicate a fertility problem? they used to be 5 days with reasonable bleeding, but in the last year or so it's been 2 days then a couple of days very tiny bleeding that doesnt even need sanitary towel/tampon as it's barely even there. worried there's something wrong, im 30.

I would definitely get this checked out, it could be early menopause, or nothing to worry about, but definitely check it out

i mentioned it at the doctors recently but they said if it was more or less regular then it is ok. and that was all she had to say.

I had this after I came off the pill. My periods lasted two days and were ridiculously light. Almost nothing. Went to the gp because i was now ttc but she was dismissive that there was even a problem ( i was 34 then).

I thought with periods this light up can I can be making a viable endometrial layer? But a month later I was pregnant. After t's i then went on to have two more children within 3 years so DEFINITELY didn't affect my fertility.

Since babies my periods have gone back to how they used to be. Moderately heavy and lasting 5 days.

In my experience, yes. It can indicate that you're peri menopausal.

My own experience - AF became very light after stopping 10 years of contraception - ended up TTC for 18 months before fertility investigations, found out not ovulating. Now been TTC for 2 years and just prescribed clomid.

Had a baby naturally 12 years ago, heavier periods, no problems at all.

Just to reassure you. I was having regular periods which barely lasted 24 hours for a number of years. I was worried like you about making a good enough endometrial layer for an egg to implant into. I had two pregnancies like this and fell pregnant very easily both times, once with twins. I'd get checked out if you are worried but it was normal for me. Post children my periods are much heavier again.

Do you have regular cycles and ovulate?
It's worth getting to know your cycles as I think most women only really learn when struggling to conceive.

Use an app to monitor periods and look for fertility signs mid cycle. The time frame after ovulation is usually fixed, called the luteal phase, and this is where the lining of the womb increases.Too short a luteal phase can indicate issues with sustaining pregnancies.

The time to ovulation can vary due to stress.A cycle is day 1 bleed..day 13-14 ovulation and then at least 12 days luteal phase where lining builds, if not pregnant your period will start.

I would say it's unlikely to be fertility issues but tracking your cycle for 6 months will give you more information.
