no flowers, no pressies.

My DH and i have been together for 17 years and have 3 children together.
My DD(8) made a card at brownies and my DS2 "made" one at nursery.

My middle child has been poorly so didn't make a card at school.

That is it....that's my mothers day!

Up with the children, sort out breakfast.

Do some painting (we have been decorating).

Strip beds (as i do every sunday).
Tidy house.

Go shopping.

Put shopping away.

Have lunch (hubby bought kfc.....what a treat!!).

Tidy up after lunch.

Hubby spends all day on PC "playing"

Hubby sods of to tennis leaving me with the children and i feel really peed off. I now have to do tea, bath and bed by myself.

I need to make all of the beds up again and sort out clean clothes for the morning.

Am i ungrateful or am i expecting too much from a man?

Write him a list for next year.
If you put up with it, he won't see any reason to change.

no don't blame you at all. I was really looking foraward to my first mothers day- had hopes of a lie in,maybe some lunch, not much really. Instead spent it trying to soothe ds, who is teething, after having got up at 5.30am to frop dh off for a flight to afghanistan . Did have a homemade card though So not all bad. Pour yourself a nice glass of wine and chill out

i nearly had a card bought for me (would have been from DS1 (6) as he hasn't had the chance to make me one at school) but the petrol station on the way home from his mums last night didn't sell any

I would go out and treat yourself to something nice and maybe leave dh with the kids and have a pampering session. And on your way out i would make some sarky comment about having to treat yourself...sod the housework and what needs doing and leave it to him he may appreciate it then.
