Did your parents teach you about sex?

I asked my mother when i was 7 what sex meant, and she told me everything from sperm to condoms to love bites. (I was quite mature and inquisitive for my age)

I'm amazed that some of my friends have never talked about sex with their parents, and learned everything from friends / TV!

Off subject, are you doing the South Wales Mile for Maude with us?

I tried CATing you but MNHQ didn't recognise your name for some reason.

My dad told me and, I believe, has been through all the details with my niece (Sis has been happy for him to give the details, so to speak) Funny I was only talking about this topic with DH the other day as he has a very, how shall I say it "uptight" family and I don't believe that DH will be comfortbale about having "the conversation' with DS, who's just turned 6....I'll be happy to do it, though not sure at what age, just making sure that I'm creating the right environment for him to ask then let him lead the way.....

what's CATing? It sounds nasty!

i have no idea what you're talking about- fill me in!

If we get enough for Swansea then probably Singelton Park, if not then we'll join up with the Cardiff lot.

You can travel up with me if that's the case.

I have Catholic mother, gave me a book called, surprisingly "where do babies come from" my older sister remembers it vividly because it said "when a husband and wife love each other very much they lie down together and his penis slips inside her vagina" my sister ROFL at idea of "slipping" as in having an accident, husband suddenly proclaiming "whoa how did that happen?"

Didn't learn anything from her or from school -yes Catholic school, they just showed us birthing video to make us cry at baby's head crowning and mother tearing, contraception was covered if you did GCSE biology!!!

I did ask but got curt answers, my best friend has 13 year old daughter and has told her everything including letting her try a sanitary towel in her knickers so that it isn't alien to her when she does start her periods. I have 2 sons, don't quite know how I will approach it all but will be open and honest.

ALWAYS MAKE HIM WEAR A CONDOM!!!' Whenever we went out the door! years before i actually had sex!
