So. Hot and cold men are the worst, right?

Been vaguely seeing this guy for a bit. When we're together we have a lot of fun, good laugh, plenty of chemistry etc (not DTD yet). But then he will literally go a week without getting in touch with me, which makes me think he can't be that interested after all.

Last week we arranged to meet this weekend but I didn't hear from him since so I assumed he'd cancel. Texted him this morning to suggest a venue and he's still on for meeting! So am I overthinking things and being paranoid (history of men behaving shoddily here) or is he just not that fussed about me? Quite happy to hear IBU even though I know this isn't AIBU!

Woken up this morning feeling really blue and I don't even know why. I need to stop expending energy on a guy who doesn't give a shit about me either way. If I was someone else then I'd be telling them to never get in touch with him again!

It doesn't sound like fun. A man you are good with when you see him, but radio silence in between. Doesn't take much for a quick hi how are you doing/how was your day call or message I do that with friends much a less a man Im seeing, its not difficult. I find thoughtless people boring, no spark being maintained. I wouldnt be thinking about them on days they weren't around - again, thats not fun - Id be out of it and no doubt off with someone else tbh

He also answered a couple of work emails while we were out, which is plain bad manners, isn't it? Hmm

Good buildings are built on strong foundations.

Sometimes you have to walk away and let the cement set and harden for a week before putting up the next layer.

sometimes wonder if it's my own issues and baggage clouding the situation
Please pineapple! Don't allow his lack of commitment to become your problem, or to over think the reasons why it isn't going well.

To your earlier point, the thrill of the chase is a low-investment way for people to have fun and enjoy the initial rush of adrenaline associated with the first few weeks of a relationship. Men and women, it isn't just a man thing.

Fact is, if he gave a shiney shit, he wouldn't risk losing you, he'd be on that phone like greased lightening getting a new date sorted. Not boasting I promise, but my (now) DH gave me no doubt of his intentions because he would always make sure we had a new date in diaries to look forward ( and I was signalling it was what I wanted too of course). You sound like you have a good sense of self-worth, it's times like this that its tested to the limit!

Move forward, as you seem to be and honestly, it's his loss Smile
