Im not seeing him until Sunday night now as he's spending the weekend with his ds's.

Now you've made me cry too ! How very sweet.

JoshandJamie · 09/02/2007 13:44

How lovely for you

Must be something in the water because last night my DH said to me: would you like me to run you a bath? - having seen just how awful a day I'd had with the kids.

When I went into the bathroom, he had lit a bunch of tealights, put lots of lovely foam in it and had poured me a glass of chilled wine - even popped my book on the side.

That was lovely

juicychops · 09/02/2007 13:49

Aw that's lovely

Once I got up late and dh had left me a coffee in the kitchen with a little note saying "With love x". It made me so happy.

maycontainstress · 09/02/2007 13:51

Oh how wonderful.

See, romance lives, you lucky girl juicychops.

Cloudhopper too? Go you!

I left my DP a love note on his manbag. He didn't even take it with him, or mention it

MamaCampbellBlack - I think i am married to your dh's twin brother!

edam · 09/02/2007 14:14

Aw, what a lovely man. You have inspired me - think I'll write dh a note to say how much I appreciated him cooking dinner, unloading and loading the dishwasher, washing up and cleaning the kitchen last night when I was dog tired.

Furball · 09/02/2007 14:14

very envious of all who get given this treatment. you are very lucky girls.

Sheraz · 09/02/2007 14:57

My husband left me

a dirty mug and plate when he went to work this morning.

JoshandJamie · 09/02/2007 15:11

It's strange though - I've found that if I do something thoughtful for him, he immediately starts to do the same for me. It's a catch-22. The night before last, I went to bed early and it was freezing, so I popped out of bed and put his sleep t-shirt on the radiator so that it would be warm when he got into bed.

Wasn't a big deal or anything, but you won't believe how much he appreciated it. And since then he's been lovely.

So maybe it's just a case of getting the ball rolling

MascaraOHara · 09/02/2007 15:20

Lucky luckly girls

I'm normally moaning about my dh lack of help/ability to sleep through either of the dd's crying etc but yesterday both dd's were a PITA, I'm knackered from doing night feeds for dd2 (shes 5 weeks) and he goes to work at 5am and often doesnt get home until 6/7pm, but last night he rang on his way home to see if we needed anything from tescos (never rings normally just gets what he needs and forgets if we need milk etc)so asked him to get a few essentials and when he came home he'd got it all as normally forgets couple of things, had picked up a couple of those tesco finest meals so i didn't have to cook and got me a big bunch of flowers said they were from dd's because they had been difficult that day and got dd1 to give them to me and taught her to say "love you mummy"

Right somebody point me back to this thread tomorrow morning when I am moaning that yet again I am up with the dd's and he is still in bed
