Whenever I'm ill, dp is such as a*se.

Why is that?

I've only got a cold, so not really ill but feel grotty enough.

Dp makes such point of saying things like 'Mummy's not well again, so she's in a bad mood' to ds. Which, of course, immediately puts me in a bad mood.

And on it goes.

Do others dp/dh's act like this?

Yes, my dh does this also...very annoying

Marshmellow · 20/01/2007 19:37

When i am ill is the only time dh and i argue! I either get annoyed by him lying on the sofa having an afternoon doze or he completely takes over in the most military fashion which puts my back up and then we argue! That's why women are heroes - becuase we battle on through

Ginnedupmummy, mines identical.Spooky. But like yours, the second I start to get back into the saddle it's business as usual. Suppose we mustn't grumble though cos I'm also a terrible nurse so it all one-way traffic. lol. I made him re-decorate the bedroom when he had that virus that was going round recently, well, I am pregnant after all. I see your ailment and I raise you. lmao.

hockeypuck · 20/01/2007 22:12

yep my dh acts like this - I posted on here just after christmas that he'd stayed at his parents with the dc's leaving my mum to drive 5 hour round trip to bring me home when I was ill with a chest infection..

Quite a few people helpfully put on here that men go into practical mode when we are ill and just prioritise things, which did help.

Try and find yourself someone supportive to moan to, I have a great gay best friend who is a star with things like that so I go and moan to him.
