I'm so fed up with constant arguing all the time.
I need perspective on this.
DD1 is 3 and had a nap in car so was wide awake tonight. She refused dinner which is irritating as I knew she'd be hungry but I had to take DD2 to doctors for second time that day. So I didn't push it. Then later I'm up and down with DD2 as she's poorly. DD1 was awake as had nap so was downstairs and wanted dinner with us. We hadn't cooked til 930pm. Anyway DH said no she couldn't and then I said yes as she wont sleep and I do the night wakings.
Anyway he cooks a lovely light meal with lovely juices/sauce. He said come and dish hers up. I got a plastic bowl and put a bit in. He said what about the juice I said a little bit, I'm not sure she would like it, and I didn't want a mess as its late, so I hurried it over to her. She left some of it and the DH put the juices on and she ate it quickly. He said see I wanted her to eat well and I cooked and wanted her to taste it all. I said yes great but you must see my logic and he said no and that he was right. I said I didn't know she was going to like it. He said well I did. I said but you must see my reasoning. He went on for ages and was so nasty to me. He's being such a knob at the moment. Really nasty.
Was he being nasty?

Sorry it's so boring and trivial

No, you should both go with the flow.
Your first sentence was the most striking.
It's not a competition - who was judging you both tonight?

God, your sister-in-law, Simon Cowell?
Nobody, so why the competition?

If you both put equal maximum effort into automatically accepting the others point of view, my goodness you could soar!

I really don't get your OP.

What is the problem?

Life, by the sounds of it.

Yes after writing it down it sounds boring and dull and silly.
I don't know what's the problem.
Just fed up of arguing. And I don't know when I'm right or not. Feel worn down by it all.

Anyway DH said no she couldn't and then I said yes as she wont sleep and I do the night wakings. You are doing things backwards.

Decison needed: normal way is that you have the pros and cons discussion then come to your conclusions. Not each jump to a decision independently, state your position then argue.
