what is 'the script' that gets referred to on here?

Just curious really. Husband has a 'new' girlfriend who I was suspicious of before he left. He is adamant it's only been going on a couple of weeks but in pretty sceptical. His behaviour was definitely off before he left (on reflection) and I'd love to know how close he was to 'the script'. He made me feel like I was going mad, it would be nice to know my instincts were screaming for a reason

What's tedious is you thinking you're Clare Rayner. There was nothing wrong AT ALL with her saying that. People search threads at a later date and may find that information interesting. Leave her alone.

Dingbat? Are you above the personal abuse rule, AF?

Abed · 07/04/2016 17:28

Who do you think you are AF, the thread police?

AnyFucker · 07/04/2016 17:41

Ahhh this is bringing back happy memories of the day I was called the Low Rent Claire Rayner of Mumsnet or somesuch. I thought that was quite amusing.

Forgive me for taking issue with a woman's support thread being hijacked by a "men suffer too" bandwagonner. It seems I am alone in thinking it was not only tedious but rather mean, tbh

DameXanaduBramble · 07/04/2016 17:46

Brilliant minds think alike, then.

AnyFucker · 07/04/2016 17:52

Nah, that other person was a right Goady Fucker.

DameXanaduBramble · 07/04/2016 17:59

Well it's good that you've accepted you may be in the wrong.

AnyFucker · 07/04/2016 18:00

Being in the minority does not = wrong.

What happend to sisterhood? Frankly I'm so pleased to have space to vent and have felt supported by most on here over the years. AF speand a lot of sense.

MissBianca · 07/04/2016 19:11

My h used the script to a t.

It was shocking as he is, on the surface, such a nice trustworthy guy.

But it really followed the whole thing, so much so I knew I wasn't mad after a look around this site.

Guys, can I please (hopefully) stop the bunfight? I will put my hand up and say I was the first person to say "women use the script too".

In mitigation, the main focus of my post was to address the pp who seemed to be having a go at us [women] who ascribe double meanings to allegedly innocent phrases. My mention of "women do it too" was to hopefully head off any (or further) misunderstanding.

Also, I spend a lot of time on ChumpLady, where there seems to be more males in M/F cheated-upon ranks. I'm sure some of that has trickled through.

AF, I hope you know that I'm normally a supporter of da sisterhood. Smile And I hope this doesn't invalidate that.

Derail over.
