Hello. Writing this on a whim. I am planning a trip to India with my two year old. Not sure this is the best place to post but this year hasn't been a good one for me as I split up with my ex and found myself as a single parent. Now I am used to it I would really like to plan something to look forward to which is a big trip abroad next year. I realise taking a 2 year old (3 early next year) has its challenges but think it would also be an amazing adventure. I would love to find travel companions so if you might be interested let me know :)

featherandblack I think SA must just be development opportunity Central for little ones - mine was 11 months when I took her there, and she discovered champagne Blush
My exclusively breast fed child who wasn't even interested in solids much then, caught dipping her fingers in my glass and sucking them.

You're going to the wrong beaches though - Brighton?! Skeg. All the way. All human life is there Grin

I will remember that Cabrinha :) The only thing I wasn't keen on was DD assuming that black people always cleaned rooms :( That sucked.

Oh I remember thinking the same thing! Not about her noticing because she was younger than yours. But we stayed in about 5 small places, and every one was owned by a white and cleaned by a black. Apartheid takes a long time to reverse Angry

What I did like, was several of the cleaning ladies worked with their children in slings, and my girl was in her sling, and they'd smile at each other!

Look into Kerala - there were many people there with young DC when I visited (pre DC). It is also a fairly relaxed state, lots to see and do.
