Faux leather black jacket and never "let" me buy one. Well you know what? I just bought one so F.U!

Anyone have any stories of things they were made guilty to like or wear by previous assholes?

Low cut tops. I don't mean very low. Just so you can see my collar bone; I don't really feel comfortable showing cleavage. He had a huge wobbly once because I had a polo top on in summer and had undone the top button on the train because it was really hot. Unfortunately I forgot to do it up again before I get home. Proof positive that I was having an affair, right?

I also had a set of pink underwear which was on sale from a catalogue. Heaven help me if I wore that out anywhere. Obviously decent women only ever wear white undies. Possibly black at a pinch so it doesn't show under dark clothes. Any other colour though, and you are clearly Up To Something.

Skirts less than mid-calf length (I don't do anything above the knee).

Is there a pattern forming here?

Too fat to wear a leather jacket though, that's a bit random. Hope you enjoy it and bet you look great in it.

Got told not to buy knee high heeled boots as id look like a slut.

I now wear them with pride and look bloody fabulous!

Short skirts, low cut tops, and my personal favourite, long dangly earrings - apparently they made my neck too short.

Happily wearing some lovely dangly earrings today with pride!

Any kind of "treat", really, as he paid more money into our shared account and never treated himself. The monthly payments on his beloved car didn't count.

Still learning not to feel guilty about buying stuff, but my wardrobe looks a lot happier (new clothes are of course a "treat" when the stuff you bought five years ago still fits).
