How much help was it for you in terms of change? Did it help you to reform your approach to relationships immediately or was it a starting point for further therapy? I've been referred and should be starting soon.

I did it twice!

I don't think it is to reform your approach to relationships as such bit it certainly helped. The town I was in had a very broad range of programmes so I also did the follow up (toolkit for recovery from dv) which was also very very good.

I would still like to follow it all up with some further counselling as I still get side swiped on occasion by memories that hurt so I think now my life is settling down a biti can afford to let all those memories out of the box to see what still needs dealing with.

How long have you been apart?

I've also completed the Freedom Programme twice and I've been told that I can do it again.

Personally I've found it to be extremely beneficial and I would recommend it.

It's shown me that I was indeed in an abusive relationship. He ticks all the boxes.

I have also made some great friends from the groups.

They also give you warning signs to look out for in future relationships.

Plus I'm also doing another programme which deals with the trauma that the children experience. Iam also going to have one to one counselling with the Rising Sun.

And sometimes I too get side swipped by memories but the Freedom facilitators help you deal with it.

I work in a role that regularly refers women to the programme it seems really beneficial to the women on it.
