Like banging your head against a brick wall, eh? It feels peculiar when you stop. But stopping is totally the right thing to do.

I feel the same, 5 months on for me and I have found out ex is dating someone. I feel strange about it...I don't know how to describe my feelings but I am looking at old pictures and feeling... sad.

It is strange spending so many years with a person, building a life with them only for it to end.

I know how you are feeling, you don't want be with them but the feeling and knowing it is all over is very weird.

Hi Rebecca

Glad im not alone! How long were you with your ex? Did you have any children together?

I'd just gotten my head round the new GF when he declared they've split up because he still loves me and wants his family. Its all bullshit and I expect he'll be back with said GF before too long if the poor girls silly enough but it's so annoying because I feel like I'm back at square one having been dumped on from a great height!
If only we never had to see them again! Urgh

afreshstartplease · 07/02/2015 11:45

Well there has been no mention of anyone else with mine but I told him to keep it to himself if there was anyway so who knows

I said the same, no one needs a running commentary of their ex's sex life. Unfortunately he 'has' to tell me because he likes to introduce them to the DC.
To be fair 4 months isn't very long, and if he's changed his behaviour it's like the next phase of the grieving process. How old are the DC?

arlagirl · 07/02/2015 12:01

This is my last weekend as a wife and its weird. Last few weeks have been awful and I just want him to leave.
He's made it clear he wants a new relationship and that's fine....but I will tell dcs I'm not interested in knowing anything about dads life post divorce.

afreshstartplease · 07/02/2015 12:05

My dc are 7, 5 and 1

Mine are 6, 4 and nearly 2 Smile
It's sharing the DC that makes it so hard, the enforced contact slows the moving on process I think

afreshstartplease · 07/02/2015 12:25

tbh my exp isn't one to be after much contact

Couple of hours at a time max
