Watching your exp create a new life

This has been playing on my mind lately as I don't quite know how to deal with it myself.

If for one reason or another you have to or choose to maintain contact with ur exPs how do you deal with them seeming to move on. I mean new partners, holidays pics, being all casual etc

Do you have to or do you choose to move on? I mean is it a natural process or did you tell yourself "enough"

How do you tell or remind yourself that it was for the best that you split and at what point would thinking about them become an unhealthy obsession?

I only ask because i'm a split between all these positions and I'm putting on an act all day but then come home at night and cry, wondering when and how it will get better.

I wouldn't watch it play out.

By this I mean of course that I may well stalk but then I would stop. It would hurt. I would only allow a certain amount of that before I thought, right screw this, what am I doing with my future????

Get thee pen and paper and maketh a list x Nd seriously, turn him off. Do not search, view pics, follow online. It is his life. Leave him to it. It is yours you are more concerned with x

PP is right. Do not search in media about his current life/situation.
You only hurt yourself more by learning new information about him.

Allow yourself to express the emotions (cry or be sad), you are a human being and sometimes it is difficult to move on straight away...
But keep telling yourself: "This too shall pass"
Tomorrow is a new day and how it will turn out no one knows.

Look after yourself, do yoga, treat yourself for something nice. I know it is only temporary satisfaction but it helps.
Concentrate on your own life, learn new language (great distraction and a plan for the future trip ;) If that doesn't inspire you watch comedy films or even cartoons for kids.

One day you might get up with new you not even realizing it, but your eyes might shine as never before. That time you will see that you are happy within your skin.

Best wishes, (flowers)

I think it does hurt at first, but it gets better with time. People said this to me, I didn't believe it, but tis true. Three years down the line its much better. We still need occasional contact due to DD, and he tries to mess with my head sometimes (one of the many reasons he is XH), but ....meh. As a wise MNer said to me, "When you have reached the land of 'meh', you are free"...
