for me and my buddies on the "finding it hard thread" just wondered how many of you have been through this hell and come out the other side in a far better place. There seems to be so many and we know we are not alone - but some days it feels like it and you wonder will I ever get through this and be happy again? thank you!

Me too! 4 years ago now, though we had to live in the same house for 2 years after! I now have lots of new friends, a great social life and a lovely bf. I decided to do my best to get on with ex h for DD and I get on well with ex h and ow now. Even though we didn't have a bad relationship I know I am so much happier than if we had stayed together.

Thanks everyone for posting on this - just remembered I had done this after blubbing to something on tv about being happy! This is just what I needed and I'm sure there are many others who will appreciate this too. Mumsnet manages to reach out for great support - thank you!
