Just looking for a ladies view on this , I have been seeing a lovely lady for a couple of months , all going well apart from a couple of wobbles by me as discussed in my previous posts.

With Christmas approaching we have exchanged cards but when it comes to prezzies I don't feel we know each other well enough to know what to get, we discussed it and suggested a weekend away in then New year as a joint Christmas present which we both agree with ....but should I still gets little something as well for Christmas Day ?

Cheers

Yes you should.

A book, her favourite perfume, nothing too extravagant but yes I think you might be left red faced if she gives you something on the day and you are not prepared.

A lovely bouquet of Xmas flowers and a small box of exclusive chocolates would be a nice token. That way, it's not really a present but you're not going to make yourself look like a prat.

Happy36 · 21/12/2014 12:46

Yes, agree with the others. Something small but thoughtful will fit the bill perfectly.

OneDayWhenIGrowUp · 21/12/2014 13:50

Do you know any of her friends well enough to ask them what she might like? I've done that before for a friend's new boyfriend.

Fluffyears · 21/12/2014 13:53

Definitely get her a token gift of something thoughtful.

TheHoneyBadger · 21/12/2014 13:56

i'd say don't if you've agreed not to. why make her feel uncomfortable?

SoleSource · 21/12/2014 13:56

An Ann Summers voucher.

OneDayWhenIGrowUp · 21/12/2014 15:05

Argh not an Ann Summers voucher.

NoRoomAtTheGin · 21/12/2014 15:09

Get her some red underwear. Meant no-one. Ever

peachgirl · 21/12/2014 16:41

What about some nice earrings? They don't have to be expensive to be beautiful.

Suggestions

  1. Nice Chocolates

  2. www.theperfumeshop.com/fcp/product/womens-fragrances/Vivabox/Women%27s-Fragrance-Selection-Vivabox/3801

  3. Cinema voucher

Clobbered · 21/12/2014 16:52

Definitely get her something. Anything from Chanel eg No 5 bathsoap - they will giftwrap it nicely too!

IsabeauMichelle · 21/12/2014 16:53

I would be quite offended to get an Ann Summers voucher! And I'm no prude.

bumpthedoor · 21/12/2014 17:00

Buy something thoughtful but keep the receipt. Give it to her if the right moment arises.
It can be embarrassing to get a present from someone if you haven't got them anything, you'll just have to judge the situation as and when.

Thanks for the replies lots of good ideas we have been out for lunch today and it came up about presents she said she agrees with me about presents because we both would not know what to get each other and the fact we are going to be able to see each other is enough. I don't want to know get her something and embarrass her because we agreed not too.

It's my birthday over the holidays and she is insisting on buying mea present for that ....women you are so hard to read lol

Yeah we are ??

I've been seeing someone for 2 weeks, he got me a present last night. Just a little token something. I called him an idiot (affectionately) as I haven't got him anything, but I am really really touched by the thought that he wanted to show that he cared. I don't think you can go wrong if you do decide to get her a little something. Apart from maybe if you got an Ann Summers voucher!
