My phone looks at porn

I have an android phone which I carry around with me nearly constantly. DP has a basic (not smart) phone.

I saw that I had about 12 tabs open on my phone's browser and one of them was pornhub. I was pretty shocked. I certainly never went there or any other porn sites for that matter!

Other than beloved MN, I had been on a site offering a walkthrough for an escape the room type game but it had no porny advertising on it, as far as I can remember (the feminist in me would have noticed, I'm sure). And I hadn't noticed any pop ups.

So could it be a random pop up so many menfolk of posters here claim it is when she finds porn sites in the browser history?

Maybe it's DP but I really don't think so. He uses my phone only to make calls with my bundled minutes and uses the netbook or laptop for browsing (and knows to use incognito browsing if he wants privacy).

If I were a man with a zero tolerance to porn partner I'd be worried and unable to explain this. Except the browser history shows no other sites visited and no further exploration beyond the splash page.

Weird though. Anyone else had this?

Yeah chrome syncs across different devices - so if you search for something on your PC it will also appear on your smartphone for example. Use a different google account for your work and personal use!

I've had minecraft stuff pop up on my phone browser, it's because the same google account wasused on all the devices in our house, dh uses my laptop and there's many a time his current browsing session opens on dd and my ipad or phone, I get pages full of holidays or falconry forums and dh gets mumsnet threads. I occasionky use some download sites (not for pirated stuff) and the ads on there are often adult related and graphic so I created dds own account in case I ever forget to close my session and she gets the ads, dh has his own now but forgets to sign himself in. Is it possible someone else has used your google account on another device?
I do like how I can switch browsing from my ipad to phone and be where I left off, but if more than one person uses the account it can be irritating too. If you have any doubts you can check the amount if data used on that specific site, there's a google settings app on some androids or I believe it be found under safari settings on iPhone/ipad. I'd have to check.

I have the same problem. We haven't looked at porn in almost a year and yet it shows up in a new phone under the history. And it's always pornhub. I know it hasn't been looked at but it's stressing us out and causing doubt. Idk how to stop it. We just put porn blockers on the phones. Hopefully that helps.
