I have another thread going on - working away from home..

Anyway cut a long story short, my and my OH are having a relationship meltdown. I found a dream job about 100 miles away.. she doesn't want to move.. I've pushed her and tried to find a compromised... she's told me it over.

I was about to leave.. to collect my son and spend the weekend with my dad.. I just went to my desk and found that she has removed my door keys from the key ring.

If I go out I can't get back in.

What do I do? When I get back from dad's I could be homeless..

Is this illegal? The home is a council home, in her name, but I pay the rent, council tax and some other bills.

Completely stuck now!! Help?

Just for info, if you tell the council you have gone, they will end your joint account, and there will be quite a large credit on the account due to the way CT is billed and the time of the year. That should be returned to you by DD and your partner will be billed from tomorrow in her sole name.

Can you not contact the bank to reverse the direct debit on the council tax and rent? I think you should be able to on the direct debit guarantee.

I've just noticed this other thread. I'm sad to read that your p has behaved in such an evil and childish manner. What ever happened to conversations and amicable agreements? She has shown you her true colours and behaved badly.
Follow the threads advice, take your valuables and documents, cancel all dd's ASAP and speak with CAB who may be able to help you recoup some of the money. She will apply for benefits..
Your p has made her feelings very clear now and has ensured the relationship is at a point of no return.

I'd ensure your Direct Debits for all the rent, council tax etc. that you are footing the bill for are cancelled immediately.

Take all your valuables with you and start looking for a new place for you and your son to live.

All the best
