I finally found the courage to contact the police to report the two times my ex h raped me. I couldn't make myself phone. In the end I emailed them.

A DS from the PPU emailed me back and I'm going to go into the station to talk to her.

What questions is she likely to ask me? Will it have to be recorded? I'm nervous as hell. I'm still not sure if I'm doing the right thing.

Thanks for your support, guys. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow. I'm glad it's at half 9 as it means less time to worry tomorrow. I've been a bit tearful today.

I feel so sick and nervous this morning. Why am I putting myself through this?

Thinking of you today. I hope it'll be cathartic for you. And he gets his just desserts.

Also thinking of you. Anticipation is usually much worse than reality so good luck. If it helps, my DS told me a technique to keep himself calm in exams this week. Apparently you're supposed to breathe warm air gently on your thumb. Let me know if it works :)

I'm going to actually try that Cog :) your ds sounds lovely. X

Althea, I hope so too x

Best of luck Black Ivy. You are very courageous. If you find yourself feeling panicky, it's good to try and remember to breathe out a big breathe first and then you can breathe in.
I like the blowing warm air on your thumb tip too Smile
Sending you strength

Someone close to me reported historic sexual offences to the police two years ago and the police were fantastic. The person was interviewed and the info was written down in front of him - I was allowed to be there. It was gentle but thorough. I think this was used to see if they had a case, they did, so was followed up with a video interview (I wasn't allowed in) a couple of months later. All the way through the police were fantastic, patient (to all of us), informative and kind.

I hope everything goes ok for you today x

Good luck, op. I'm sure you'll do great today x

Its done. I stayed quite calm I think. I'm home now and felling pretty crappy and flat. I couldn't remember dates, times etc. I'm a pretty rubbish witness tbh. It's just going to come down to his word against mine.

Try not to be so down on yourself BlackIvy. You can be very proud of yourself for doing something that was really really difficult that you were dreading.
Well done.
