Why do sooo many people suddenly want to leave?

I've been a mumsnetter for nearly 3 years now, but I'm astounded by the number of threads there have been over the last 2 - 3 weeks about or by people wanting to end their relationships.

Is there something in the air, an astrological disturbance, an article printed somewhere that has got people thinking how unhappy they are?

I'm not making light of this, just genuinely intruiged as to why so many have suddenly rebelled against their situation.

Galaxy - If i had a hubby like yours i would shout it from the roof tops. I personally love to read about other peoples happy relationships. Makes me believe that they really do exisit and that maybe one day i will have one.

It would never make me feel bad to hear of anyones happy relationship, honest.

I think it's fine to talk about good/bad relationships, but the wonderful thing about MN is that you can talk about both. In our relationship, we shimmy between them both, so both sides of MN are helpful to me. Good luck Nutty, and proud of you. You should meet my mum - on my birth certificate, under 'Mother' was 'late James, formerly Baxter' so you can do it again!!

Galaxy I was just sort of on autopilot agreeing with everyone else who said, "You tend to hear about bad relationships rather than good ones on mumsnet." Never saw your "proud of my dh thread, "glad you started one, I've actually never given the matter much thought--was just trying to be diplomatic to Easy, who had thought she'd offended me. I think anything is the done thing on Mumsnet.
