husband of 20 years had affair and in his eyes fell out of love with me years ago. He carried on his selfish half trying ways for a year ending with him trying to pull a lady15 years his senior in front of me when drunk in a club.
He has made no attempt to see kids or get a flat so he can have them . INSTEAD all energy is being put into finding a new lady friend.
Our son has just started his gcse and i would of moved away if we have spilt last year but husband is trying to make me feel guilty if i do it now. Why should I he has followed his to make himself happy dont i deserve happiness

Of course you deserve happiness o.p. No doubt about that. and for what it's worth your ex h seems a right one.
However would moving away distrupt your ds's GCSE's. After all whatever has happened is not his fault. He needs you.

Anyone who treats you extremely badly and then tries to make out that you'd be selfish for trying to make a better life elsewhere really hasn't got a leg to stand on. If 'just started his GCSE' means your DS is in the first term of Year 10 then I don't think it would be a train smash if you moved but maybe you could discuss that with his teachers. You deserve happiness and, unlike your ex, you appear to be responsible person.

What your ex says is irrelevant. But if I understand your post correctly you are thinking of uprooting your son during his GCSEs. Not acceptable. How could you even think of doing that? Wait until he's finished them, or until after his A-Levels. Last thing the poor chap needs is TWO selfish parents.
