Hiding in the bathroom

I don't want to go downstairs, I had a 'lay in' to avoid him and I've been 'having a shower' for an hour now.

He'll be off to the pub in half an hour, again, and will be so pissed when he gets home he won't be able to do anything useful like string a coherent sentence together. He disgusts me. I hate what he's turned into but he seems almost proud of it like an act of defiance against all the naysayers 'look at me I'm running a house and able to drink gazza under the table' but he can't. I'm running the house and I'm exhausted.

I need to leave. I'm going to leave this week, he doesn't know it yet but I can't live like this anymore

Aside from everything else (which shows him to be a huge prick), I'd be calling the police next time he goes to the pub and takes the car-a tip off might be all that's needed to get him arrested before he kills someone.

Good luck and be strong. You sound like a lovvely person. What ever you have to do wont be painful as hiding in the bathroom from the enemyx

Yes, you suggested it and she said she would do it Hmm

Morethanalittlebitconfused · 25/08/2014 15:03

Thanks all. I'm ok I think. Have had to get out the house for a while despite the weather to clear my head for a bit

Thanks for all the advice and support

And as tempting as it was I didn't clean the loo with his toothbrush Wink

I have a special smokers toothbrush which is used for cleaning only. Around taps plugs and grout. My 'helpful' friend tidied it from its special spot on the window sill into my brush pot. It was only when I thought 'bloody hell this toothbrush is a bit hard' whilst brushing my teeth that I realised what had happened..

Oops! We have the value range just white ones, about 25p, for cleaning. I hope never to make that mistake!

Grin

Wasn't trying to derail the thread, honest. Just the germaphobe in me felt queasy at the thought of my XH doing something like that to me while he was waiting to leave. I wasn't a drunken abusive arse like your DH, though, so hopefully not!

Frogisatwat · 25/08/2014 16:34

No nor me trying to derail either..just a little anecdote Smile

I'm glad you are getting out.

I can't believe your parents have said they only want you to stay a day or two though :(

I hope you can find somewhere nice to lodge, near work - good luck!
