things you miss about your ex

(A counterpoint to a recent thread about things you don't miss...)

I miss my ex's utter northern sexiness; the accent, the clothes, the specific manc swagger

his height and his broad torso, in particular, the side bit between his ribcage & waist (very specific, I know)

his willingness to introduce me to 'his' music

And finally his thickness. Sigh. I love my OH so much but, boy, I miss my ex's cock. (Apols if TMI for a quiet Thursday afternoon)

Off for a cold shower. Toodle pip!

The fact that he cooked, he enjoyed it and was excellent to awful atit depending on the day. Also he made tea, all the time, actually that was one of the things that annoyed me towards the end :S.

He was fab at DIY and housework and making me dinner.

blueeyedmonster · 21/08/2014 21:41

Nothing. I miss nothing at all.

It wasn't just the amazing, wild and adventurous sex, it was the deep intimacy between us that got us there that I miss the most. We could and would talk about everything, openly and the nights we'd still be up at 6am just talking and talking and messing about - I really miss that. The sex and intimacy was mind blowing and even after 5 years it was amazing and we couldn't keep our hands off each other, the sexual tension was electric and the Sunday morning sessions - bliss. Yep I can say I definitely miss him.

CremeEggThief · 21/08/2014 21:54

Having someone around to do all the stuff I didn't want to do, to be honest. That's all.

LuluJakey1 · 21/08/2014 21:55

But I would miss almost everything about DH - his bear hugs, his lingering, slow, thorough kisses, his body, his cock, his sense of humour and tenderness and warmth and loving care, his northernness, the conversations, his mind, kindness, naughtiness, consideration, his finding me so attractive and showing me that, just everything except the untidiness, inability to load the dishwasher, having to have the last word and horrible habit of picking skin off his fingers

Lweji · 21/08/2014 21:56

He was OK at DIY, mostly with my help, but did manage to do some plumbing.
He did make dinner most days and did most cleaning - but he was a SAHD. Or rather, he stayed at home and he was a dad. Not that much parenting done, in fact.

Lweji · 21/08/2014 21:59

He was tall, which was handy for getting things down from the top shelves in supermarkets.

Oh, this too, when he didn't order online.

Meerka · 21/08/2014 22:12

first bf: his quick wits. His wide reading. His sense of humour. His kindness. HIs ability to make me question what I'd been told from childhood; pushing me gently to think for myself. His patience.

Second bf: intelligence and integrity and wittiness.

Been lucky with my two previous long term relationships, both of them were good and fun people.

helpmekeepstrong · 21/08/2014 22:38

I'm in a refuge and I miss lots. Miss his love, don't miss his temper. Miss his affection, don't miss his temper. Miss my home. Don't miss his temper. Miss all the things I left as I ran. Don't miss his temper. Miss my stepson. Now I can have no contact. Two weeks since I left. No contact. Still don't miss his temper. (keep saying that to yourself girl, you'll get there.)

BeCool · 21/08/2014 23:02

I liked lots of things about XP - loved them in fact. Miss them from time to time esp his smile, and the way he liked it when I sang along to songs in the car, and his really nice cock, and his truest point when he was non-shitty which was fantastic. I liked how we could just be.

But they are more than negated by all the bad bits.

Fucked up!

plinth · 21/08/2014 23:04

I miss the person I thought he was and the love and friendship I thought we had. Sadly it was all an illusion and he was in reality a giant twonk!

pieceofpurplesky · 21/08/2014 23:20

Every single thing. He was my love and my soulmate. 5 months ago he walked out as after a tough six months he felt pushed away as I had not had time for him. Three very unhappy people now - me, DH & DS

broodynmoody · 21/08/2014 23:26

My ex had a big cock too but it was no use he had no idea how to use it. He'd sit on his phone watching stupid videos and then look up and mutter "you want to have sex?" as if he was asking me if i wanted a bag of crisps. Oh the romance.

LividofLondon · 21/08/2014 23:38

He did great character voices which made me laugh. He was of St Lucian descent but had a north London accent, and used to put on a Jamaican accent and lingo complete with sexy swagger and flirting if I asked him to "do your Jamaican". I used to squeal with delight!Grin Then every time he used to joke, "I'm never letting you near a Jamaican after that", and we'd both laugh. He used to do a hilarious cockney geezer caricature too. I used to blow kisses/do duck face at him when he was on his PC and he'd always say (in a put on Ray Winstone accent) "sowt ya maaf aahht", LOL! Grin Luckily we're still friendly so hopefully he'll do them again for me one day.

He was very good in bed, and very cuddly, and a good kisser, and good at compliments and making me feel special. He made me laugh. He introduced me to so many things.
Shame he was fucking someone else for half of our relationship which kind of negates a lot of the good stuff.
We were together two and a half years, and it's been two years now since we split up and no one else has even come close to making me feel as excited and happy and in love as I felt with him. I worry he was my soulmate and I won't find another one.

mrsbrownsgirls · 22/08/2014 00:14

forumdonkey, what happened?

DioneTheDiabolist · 22/08/2014 00:20

My Ex had an amazing spot on his back. I spent many a satisfying evening squeezing it. I loved that great big spot and as it kept refilling, it was the gift that kept on giving.

I really miss it.Sad
