So we just bought new fence panels. I'm not tall or strong enough to lift them into the concrete posts. I tried to help him and got a rusty nail in my foot. He was completely unsympathetic and expected me to continue straight away. I did, with a limp. Tried and failed again. He shouted that I was useless and he's just gonna do it on his own like he does all the handy jobs. I tell he's horrible. He. Says 'yeah well you're useless.'

Why am I with him!!!!

Just a rant really!

Anyone else with a complete dick?

I used to waste energy arguing now I find it remarkably soothing to say, "Oh okay you know best" and just give him The Look. Bonus points if proved right.

I apparently get this expression on my face when DH attempts DIY. Then we get someone to do it instead.

McBear · 14/08/2014 20:32

They're done!

Neighbour came back. DD woke up from the worlds longest nap. She kept saying 'look old mans doing' ??

I helped a reasonable amount.

The problem is DP is a feminist. He believes I should pay half of the cost and do half of the work regardless of me simply not being tall or strong enough/having a clue what I'm doing. If I can't help with x then I need to find y which is of equal weighting. Cunt.

The advice to get a tetanus jab is serious. Get it done the sooner the better. Phone 111 and they'll tell you where your out of hours doctor is.

The size of the wound is irrelevant. And whether you have soaked it or bandaged it is also irrelevant. You need that vaccination.

AllChangeLife · 14/08/2014 20:49

That isn't feminism... It is called being a twunt.

LittleMissDisorganized · 14/08/2014 20:57

Yes, tetanus jab tonight, taxi or whatever if you're over the limit, but you need to be seen tonight if the skin's broken.

You don't seem to really like each other. Why are you together still?

Anyone else with a complete dick?

Not anymore.

The problem is DP is a feminist.

Is he really? Or only when it suits him?

eitherwaythatway · 14/08/2014 21:36

I should pay half of the cost and do half of the work regardless of me simply not being tall or strong enough

I assume he would carry half a baby through pregnancy

McBear · 14/08/2014 21:39

God no, a baby would ruin his toned physique that he works so hard for.

I do like him quite a lot really. Just not today! Grin Tomorrow he's taking me for a meal and to the pub for a few hours. I'll like him again then Grin

Charley50 · 14/08/2014 23:00

Don't forget your tetanus jab!!

McBear · 15/08/2014 11:55

I am tetanus'd up Grin

She warned me that I can only have 5 in my lifetime. I may have never had one before as none on record.

I told her I don't plan to make a habit of treading on rusty nails. Smile
