I shave all of mine off, have done for years, in fact dp has never seen me with a full growth iyswim. I try to shave it every day to minimise itchy regrowth probs.

HappyDaddy · 15/09/2006 11:10

VVVQV what's a playdar?

Thomcat · 15/09/2006 11:19

You know my story of shaving mine into a heart shape using a pastry cutter for Valentines Day once?
PMSL - and so did he!!!!!!!!

HappyDaddy · 15/09/2006 11:27

A pastry cutter?!?!?!?!

Holidaymum · 15/09/2006 11:32

We've a huge box with 100 of those, could do topical, seasonal variations, leaf for autum, pumpkin for halloween....

NomDePlume · 15/09/2006 11:33

The pastry cutter idea is a good one.

Veet is best IMO. Waxing is expensive to keep up and you have to get a reasonable bit of regrowth for the wax to have something to grab onto, IYSWIM. Veet is good because you can do it in the privacy of your own house, in whatever shape you want, to whatever extent you want and you don't have to show some nubile young thing your post childbirth fanjo and/or arse crack if you want the full shebang.

NomDePlume · 15/09/2006 11:34

I have an angel shaped cookie cutter complete with halo

NomDePlume · 15/09/2006 11:35

If you want a Brazillian (or an all-off Hollywood) then you will have to show the waxer your bumhole. Rather you than me...

HappyDaddy · 15/09/2006 11:41

I shave mine into the shape of a face, i dont need to add the nose.

mumblechum · 15/09/2006 12:04

my secretary is very concerned - she just came into my office and found me crying. Couldn't explain I was crying with laughter....oh, the rumours that'll be flying round the office now....

emzickle · 15/09/2006 12:43

mmm... tried to do this once, looked like a 12 year old, I was so embarrased I actually hid it from DP till it had grown back, yuck

Bananaknickers · 15/09/2006 13:38

says on veet that not to be used on the genetal area?? are you doing the whole lot girl and dosen't it sting your fadge?

morningpaper · 15/09/2006 13:45

I whip all mine off, just use an electric 'ladyshave' - always have. No problems for me with itching/regrowth. Am just too hairy and can't be bothered with the neatening-of-the-sides thing, so I whip it all off. It just looks normal to me because I've done it for long but when I see normal unshaved women in changing rooms etc. I think YIKES!!!! I want to stare and point at their yeti-like covering...

NomDePlume · 15/09/2006 15:30

You can actually get Veet for bikini lines, yes I do all the worthy bits that I would want to show to a waxer and I've not had any probs with stinging or thrush etc.

livelife · 15/09/2006 16:03

haven't read every single bit but what i have is v funny . i want any tips on avoiding in grown hairs afterwards - not fuzzy hair that embarrasses me but the spots n redness from ingrowing hair! Help!

NomDePlume · 15/09/2006 16:04

exfoliate the skin, that should lift any ingrown hairs. You can also get a special oil/balm for ingrown hairs, that's supposed to be very good too.
