I met a guy on Saturday after chatting for a few months online. We had sex, we had a day out and a good laugh.

He sent me this message tonight

I don't think I'm the right person for you. You said i didn't like you several times of which is OK. I understand you said about my breath that is OK too.

I do talk a lot but I don't think I am right person for you, but that is OK I understand. I have to go now, as i have to go to work and I need to get ready. As you said the other day you could date other men maybe so that would be better for you I don't know, but i will chat again on here when I get the time. I personally do not feel think I am right for you, chat soon be safe .xxxx

WTF???????

I did say his breath wasn't smelly as he had a few teeth missing from a fight. Grin

I asked him if he was OK with my body when we were in bed as I needed reassurance as I hadn't had sex at my current weight.

"Don't waste too much time thinking about him. You meet men off the internet for sex. It's nothing to do with what you said, he just wanted to settle down with someone."

Sounds like he misconstrued the 'breath' comment and was offended?

Bit of a strange message to me. I can't make much sense of it.

Though I'm wondering now. Does having missing teeth mean your breath is likely to smell?

OP, are you the poster with the less than perfect dating experiences?

Apologies if I'm wrong, but you sound familiar.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 15/07/2014 14:14

Chatting for so long before meeting sounds safe but maybe the fizz went before the date got started. Perhaps he enjoyed your company but guessed that this wouldn't work out. You might never have heard from him again even if you hadn't bedded him, so don't over think it.

Sole are you the poster that had an online relationship with someone for a couple of years and then he turned out to be really horrible?

TonyThePony · 15/07/2014 15:33

My post was unnecessarily critical, I'm sorry. I've asked for it to be deleted.
