Am I being unreasonable to want my boyfriend to have told his wife (ex) about me after us being together for 10 months. His close family know about me but I've not met any of his friends as his ex is still friendly with them. I feel hidden.

If they're afraid of losing their kids they should not go getting into a new relationship, surely? Get the access arrangements agreed first, sort their priorities, sign the divorce papers and THEN start dating if they're so worried. Otherwise it's monumentally unfair verging on cruel on people like the OP.

I know exactly how you feel as have been there myself!! Me and DP are now all out in the open and his ex has turned into a nightmare since finding out about me and making things stressful for everyone. I felt that we weren't 'real' until she knew but in hindsight life was easier when she didn't!!

Have you met any of his friends or is it a case that you cant meet mutual friends of theirs? I do really understand where you're coming from. If he's introduced you to the family that's a big deal...

My wonderful new honest BF just went back to his separated but not divorced ex. Separated almost a year from her (for the second time in 5 years) and having gone through horrible split. He asked her for divorce and she declared love!
Be careful there are genuine reasons why people put off divorce but there's also others too!
