DH moving out

Dear Mumsneters,
Please kindly advice on what to do, as I have kicked out DH due to non payment of rent and bills and been violent when asked about it. He doesn't want me to know where he is moving to, which is absolutely fine by me. My only problem is, we have a 19months old daughter and I know he will want to take her to his place every now and then.
I am not comfortable letting him take my daughter away to an undisclosed location, so where do I stand in this.
Also I am at a crossroad as to whether to get his visa cancelled since he is a dependant under me and he will then be sent back to Nigeria by the home office.

Why would you tolerate a violent and financially abusive man have any contact with your child? Never mind take her to an undisclosed destination.

Cancel his bloody visa tout suite

You absolutely cannot under any circumstances allow a violent man to take your child to an undisclosed location. He should not even be permitted to see her without supervision.

Have you reported the violence to the police? If not, you must do this and ensure that you have a court order in place to have him see her only at a contact centre.

If you let a violent person take your DD or see her unsupervised, you're opening yourself up to a welfare investigation and dire consequences.

I actually doubt that he would be sent back to Nigeria now that he has a child by you. At the very least he could appeal. You MUST report all that has happened to the police and get proper legal advice. Don't rely on your understanding of his visa status.
