so, there has been stuff going on ( possibly only in my head) for the past couple of months. I have been feeling neglected and unloved, jealous and angry.
we talked, about everything and I have come to realise that after nearly 7 years married....I am in love with my husband.
bit of a shock as I had often mussed if I was settling....
turns out I am hopelessly head over heals...

That's great, but do you feel loved?

CogitoErgoSometimes · 20/01/2014 10:16

OK... Confused But are you really saying 'Love is.... feeling neglected, unloved, jealous and angry'?

mrsSOAK · 20/01/2014 10:29

I certainly do feel loved.
I was angry and jealous and felt neglected but after we talked ( and talked, and talked) things have started to change for the better. We are closer than we have ever been, there is a real move towards how a relationship should be. We are arguing hardly at all, I haven't been tearful or emotional for ages.
All this has happened and I now realise that I do actually love him and right now feel 'in love' with him.

I'm sure its not perfect but for us, its pretty darned good!

Well it's a good start and I wish you well. However, I would urge you to not fall into the 'Stockholm Syndrome' trap of mistaking cessation of hostility for affection. Judge things long-term rather than on short-term 'moves towards' and 'started to change'

The easiest thing in a relationship is to take the other person for granted when times are good and no outside pressures are affecting us.

I guess if he felt you had stopped caring or showing by simple actions you valued him he in turn may have cooled towards you. Vicious circle. So if you are now both on the same wavelength, well and good.
