I'm in an EA relationship. It got bad this am and I called 101 and logged the incident. They went through a deb booklet with me, asked me if I wanted them to come out and I said no, just log it.

So I packed my bags, got ds and dogs in the car and left, went into town to the cinema with ds and then was intending to drive to mum and dad's house, then I realised I had to work tomorrow, so I drove back Hmm.

Intend to leave when I can but can you let me know what the police will do with the info? They asked for my local gps name. Will the let them / hv know?

I live in a small community and the go and hv are locals. Feel very visible now.....

Can you not get to work from your parents ? Take time off ?

redundantandbitter · 12/01/2014 18:10

Fairly sure the police will just add your details to their system and it willStay there . You will have been asked set questions ( they may have done a vulnerable person 1-8 questions) and the GP is one of them. It's routine. But if you are worried just call 101.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 12/01/2014 18:25

The police will have logged your call as you requested. I doubt it'll go further although you might get a follow-up call asking if everything is OK. To call 101 about an 'incident' (care to elaborate?) and then go completely quiet on them, they could think you're dead in a ditch.

bordellosboheme · 12/01/2014 18:29

They asked if ds witnessed it and his name. Do you think they would involve social services or anything? Worried Hmm

Also, did you tell them you were leaving?

bordellosboheme · 12/01/2014 18:32

Yes I said I was going to my mums

You need to tell them you've gone back to the house. Ring them back - tell them this - and then you can ask what they'll do with this info.

Cogito
Him calling me fat, yelling at me I hadn't realised his dog had a limp when I put her in the garden ( even though I was up 3 times with her in the night). I lashed out at him with a flannel I was holding (hardly making contact) which he grabbed off me and hit me three times with.

I can't take much time off without falling way behind, I am quote a senior responsible visible job. Parents house is a 4 hr round trip.

bordellosboheme it's important that you tell 101 that you've returned to the house. They've had a report of a domestic from you and you've told them you're leaving the house for somewhere a couple hours away. They think you are now away from it in a safe environment. You need to let them know you are still there - the risk of another domestic is still there. It also allows them a clearer picture of the situation so they can follow up and verify you are okay.

bordellosboheme · 12/01/2014 21:33

I will ring them in the morning, please let me know what they will do with the info......

OP posts:
AliceinWinterWonderland · 12/01/2014 21:37

You'll have to ask when you ring them specifically what they will do. It varies according to what you've told them, what has occurred, what they perceive the risk to be, and what their policies are. But if you ask, they will explain it all to you.

redundantandbitter · 12/01/2014 21:37

Speak to 101 . The police have a PPU (people protection unit) and your info MAY have been passed to them. IRS routine with vulnerable persons or where children are involved. Just ask 101 if they can let you know if the PPU have been informed, they can put you through.

KateAdiesEarrings · 12/01/2014 21:40

According to my dsis (who works for social services) if dcs witness an incident, depending on the severity, it can be flagged to social services, who then decide whether they need to investigate further.

bordellosboheme · 12/01/2014 21:48

Ok, thank you..... I'm glad I rang but worried about any escalation.. That the police / ss may cause.

something2say · 12/01/2014 21:50

They should send a report to ss.

So plan to leave for real. Meanwhile calm it right down x. If it kicks off, hotel x
