Have just said to dp-"oh we should really sort out what food we are having after the dd2's christening "
to which he replied "yeh we will get some stuff from aldi or tescos"

We had already agreed that we were going to a restaurant afterwards ,and i mentioned to him on thursday that we need to pop in and arrange with the owners what we would like.
me-"what the hell are you on about? ,where do you think we are going after the christening?"
dp-"we are hiring the parish hall aren't we?"
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Do i always talk to myself?
We have problems anyway so this has just pissed me off (again)

what a twat,he obviously doesn't listen to a word i say ,and has no interest in his dd's special day.

Yes it would piss me off.

Yes it would be typical in this house.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/07/2006 22:13

It would irritate me, but I wouldnt have a full on row about it.

I note you said you were having problems in your relationship, I would imagine that every little niggle is a bit like having a speck of sand in your eye.

Men tend NOT (apologies for stereotyping) to get involved in organising of huge milestone events (I think they fear fucking it up and never being able to live it down....)

I just think that they cant be arsed and as usual leave everything to 'the women'and then wonder why 'the women'cant just switch off and be a lurve machine !
Thats because we are too flippin stressed

Don't know what to say, if it had been my husband he would have asked "are we christening DS???, when???"

That sounds like me and DH. It might be a gender thing, but still it would make me cross. DH would suggest that guests bring food
